Lindsey Strickland is a sexual abuse prevention advocate and founder of the non-profit Worth the Conversation. As the mother of a child with Down syndrome, Lindsey utilizes both her personal parenting experience and professional background in sexual assault crisis intervention to provide sexual abuse prevention education to parents and caregivers of children with Down syndrome. Her advocacy experience includes multi-disciplinary work with the criminal justice system, school-based personnel, therapeutic services, and youth-serving organizations. She is an experienced trainer and has served on both community and state-wide sexual assault prevention task forces. Lindsey deeply believes individuals with intellectual disabilities are valuable members of society who deserve to live in a world free from sexual violence. She lives in Seattle, WA with her husband and four children.
